i understand

i absolutely understand this.

while the event is horrifically tragic, when people leave the prison system, they are required to do MANY things.  take UAs.  specific classes.  counseling.  but when you're a convicted felon, and you can't get a job, how are you supposed to pay for these things?

parole sets you up to fail.

there is one of two reasons this happened:

1.  the guy had no where to go.  felons who do not have outside support, often re-offend because that puts them back in jail/prison where they have a roof over their heads; or

2.  the guy is truly mentally ill and should be in some kind of treatment, not out on the street to fend for himself.

either way, and while he is solely responsible for his actions, the system failed him.

PS:  this was post 400! 🙌👍
