also, i've read many articles today (probably 20) regarding the premier of Season 8 last night. i don't want to post any spoilers; however, this is my place to "talk" so, be careful.
***** SPOILERS BELOW *****
here is a re-cap.
SOOO many situations that tie episodes together.
1. the boy at the beginning of the episode climbing to get a better look at the procession coming towards Winterfell. just like Bran in the first episode of Season 1 when he was climbing to see the procession of King Robert Baratheon coming to Winterfell to speak with Ned Stark.
2. the reunion of Arya and Jon. they last saw one another in Episode 1, Season 1. that was when he gave her Needle.
3. Bran telling Samwell Tarley that he was waiting for an old friend to show up. at the end, Jamie Lannister arrives at King's Landing. he sees Bran sitting in a wheelchair. the moment of Jamie realizing who it is. the last time they saw one another was when Jamie pushed Bran out of the tower window after catching him with Cersei.
4. the dragon ride really reminded me of Avatar when Jake and Neytiri are riding their dragon-like creatures. that part was kind of cheesy. and then when Drogon was giving Jon the "eye" when he was kissing Dany. sort of took away from the intensity of things.
all in all i loved it. i'm so nervous about what is going to happen. i don't want to see any of my characters killed, but we all know it's going to happen. it's just a matter of who and when. *sigh*
